Cassini II
The full brother of Cassini I and himself the sire of many international show jumpers. Here you will find his profile and every horse from our breeding that carries Cassini II blood.
Pedigree
Cassini II is a grey stallion by Capitol I out of Wisma by Caletto II, bred by Johann Hermann Claussen. This makes him a full brother of Cassini I, one of the most influential Holsteiner sires. He finished third in his stallion performance test, was injured afterwards and went to stud early.
Cassini II as a sire
As a sire, Cassini II produced a long line of jumpers for international sport, including Monaco N.O.P. (up to 1.65 m), Cashew CR and Castlefield Hunter (up to 1.60 m), Isovlas Olympic with Steve Guerdat, Casello with Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst, Inken with Peter Wylde and Chatwin with Alvaro de Miranda Neto. His licensed son Camarque was sold to Denmark for 230,000 euros and became show jumping champion of the Danish stallion licensing. How much the two brothers shaped Holstein shows in the 2007 licensing: 19 of the stallions were by Cassini I or Cassini II.
